How Returnships Find Hidden Talent and Create More Gender and Age Inclusive Cultures

Returnships are different from internships or even apprenticeships. They are aimed at professionals who’ve had a career break to accommodate caregiving — childcare, elder care, and such. Returnship programs give seasoned professionals a chance to reacclimate and prove the value of their skills and experience. They have a great track record of success with many companies ultimately hiring the returnees they bring in for the program. These programs generally attract women (who are 12x more likely than men to be out of the workforce for caregiving) and older workers.
