Democratizing Information

The old adage “Knowledge is power” is more true today than it ever has been. More and more we see leaders in mid to large scale companies moving from a command and control model to a decentralized model where they empower teams to make decisions and “push authority to information”. In this landscape information asymmetry leads to disempowerment when teams feel like someone else on the team has more information and therefore is better suited to make the decision. In this talk I will discuss some tactics to minimize the information disparity and create an environment where teams can truly be autonomous.
