A Workforce Revolution: Shattering the Glass Ceiling for Working Moms
As a child in India, Ritu watched her mother sacrifice her career to focus on her children – a choice millions of moms make today. After moving to Silicon Valley, Ritu faced the same choice: she juggled caring for her family and working a demanding career managing $1billion+ of eCommerce at eBay. Rather than sacrifice quality work or family time, Ritu founded a company to solve a major childcare issue parents — working moms in particular — face: safe, reliable transportation. Ritu will discuss how she turned adversity into a mission-focused company with her Sequoia-backed startup Zūm and offer advice for entrepreneurs to do the same.
